Tom's second album is exciting and evangelical, a musical invitation to wait for the Lord, to prepare for His coming, to make a place for Jesus in our hearts: "Find us ready, Lord, not standing still. Find us working and loving and doing your will. Find us ready, Lord, faithful in love, building the kingdom that's here and above."
Combining rock, pop, jazz, reggae, gospel, praise and choral styles, Find Us Ready offers 13 original songs for both listening and the liturgy. It includes songs for Lent, Advent, confirmation and retreats, as well as psalm settings and selected Mass parts. It also includes the original version of Tom's "I Will Choose Christ," which was recorded by Kathy Troccoli and captured the number one spot on Christian radio stations across the country. The title track is a rousing gospel ballad with great saxophone and gospel choir parts.
Backed by a veritable orchestra of supporting musicians and vocalists, more than 40 of them listed in the liner notes, Find Us Ready features guest appearances by Cyprian Consiglio on vocals and John Pennington on drums.
