The Eucharist is the single most important element of our Catholic faith. It is the place where earth is graced by the presence of heaven. It is the object by which divinity transcends humanity. It is the moment when the fleeting and the lasting become one. It unites one nation to another. It is revealed to us under the appearance of a simple piece of bread on a simple table and yet it is far more. It is the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
The song Falling For You is a prayer of thanks for the goodness of being in God's presence. It is about standing in the wonder and awe of God's love. It is about coming to Christ in humble expectation of what “waiting, watching, hoping, and praying” will bring. Although the song isn't specifically about being in front of the Eucharist, anyone who has spent any time in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament can testify to the immediate realization: “I am where I am supposed to be.” This song is the assemblage of the emotions experienced in that moment.
