Art -- outside, inside, and around us.

We were able to walk and bike through the Interurban Trail up here in beautiful Bellingham over Memorial Day weekend.  Actually the kids were biking.  Twi and I were speed walking.

%altEven so, we were inspired by nature's artwork -- beautiful in every direction.  To be amidst such beauty gave us such a feeling...

Living in the Year of the Eucharist Totally Rocks!

THE YEAR OF THE EUCHARIST TOTALLY ROCKS!

It was a wonderful weekend here in the windy city. June 18th was an inspiring and busy day. The Chicago Archdiocese Youth Ministry Office hosted Steve Angrisano for our inaugural Quarterly Catechetical Gathering. Steve was awesome! One of the coolest things about my job is being able to bring in great presenters from the local and national church who minister to youth and then sit back and watch them inspire my staff, the youth ministers, a...

Life Teen Training

It was an awesome weekend at St. Paul The Apostle in Gurnee, IL. What a wonderful group of parents, adults, and teens who gathered to find out more about what Life Teen can do in their parishes. Darla Hickman and Lisa Epperson from the National Life Teen Office led us in the two-day training. They are awesome! I was honored to provide music for the gathering. And praise God for the inspiration of local youth ministers and musicians -- Marion, Phil, Ruth, Mary Ann, Julie, John

Youths firing up for WYD! NeoCatechumenal Way Gathering in Chicago

It was great to be with 3500+ youth, youth ministers, and priests at the Neo-Catechumenal Way Gathering at the McCormick Place Arie Crown Theater on May 21, 2005. Before Cardinal George arrived the entire assembly was singing, praising, clapping and giving thanks to God for the experience of their pilgrimages from their hometowns that culminated right here in Chicago.

From as far away as the Rocky Mountains, from Texas and the Gulf of Mexico, from the eastern seaboard, from Miami, A...

Kung Fu: Fight the Good Fight

Hey y'all,

My wife, Twi, has made me do some spring cleaning of the photos on our computer and I realize that it's been a while, and lots of water has run under the bridge since last checking in.

Let's see... how far back should we go. Oh, these pictures remind me of last September. While football greats were suiting up and setting out for rose-filled bowls, I had the opportunity to share 3 awesome days with about 200 teens at St. Vincent De Paul Parish in Rogers, Arkansas.<...
