With family and friends we share the bread and wine,
a sign of God's gentle love that calls to us to gather at this feast.
1. This bread of life, this cup of peace
unites us in this holy feast,
now present in the love we seek,
that brings us here this day.
2. We thank you for this holy day.
We call your name, we sing your praise,
for Jesus in his kindness gave
this Eucharist for all.
3. By your love this bread becomes
your body broken now for us,
and by your grace this saving cup
is poured for all the world.
4. For in this bread we know his love,
made present now in all of us,
and in this cup we now are one,
one family of faith.
5. With grateful hearts and joy we come
to share this bread, to drink this cup,
so we may go and be his love,
a light for all the world.
