This is a truly beautiful song that shows an almost ethereal gratitude to the Blessed Mother for her tireless and unceasing intervention on behalf of the world and for being the gentle strength that guides us to the light of Christ. The lone voice of the choir director of St. Clare of Assisi, in Surprise, Arizona made me cry the first time I heard it.

Lyrics

1. My Lady, you have been to me
as a star in the night.
My Lady, a comfort you have been,
and a joy as well.
You have been my strength,
you have been my hope through darkness.
You have brought the love,
and you have brought the peace of Jesus.
2. My Lady, I'd like to share my heart
and thank you with this song.
My Lady, may peace and joy
and love be yours through Jesus.
I thank you with my mind,
and I thank you with my soul,
though not enough.
A sign of hope are you
for all the world to see, though so few do.
Bridge
Lady, praying in the night for all the world.
Lady, praying for us all, hoping we will turn,
turn to the Son.
3. Mary, filled with the grace of the Father's love,
how blessed are you,
and blessed is your Son, our Lord, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of our Lord,
please pray for us.
Teach us how to love, teach us how to pray,
be with us in our life, be with us in our death.
Amen.
My Lady.
