WOW! I haven't ever liked rap music. When I found this song, I couldn't wait to share it with my teenage nephews! I listen to this song all the time! Thanks for bridging the gap with an inspirational, uplifting, message. :)

Although I'm not a huge fan of Rap music, can it be said any better? What a way to express your faith! I think kids and teens would really relate. Let's bring them closer to Jesus!
MC God! Maker, Creator, always a lover, not a hater. MC God! Messiah, Christ Jesus, the one who frees us. MC God! Manifestation, confirmation, discipleship instigation. MC God! In the name of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit. You got ears but can you hear it?
Sometimes we're saying we're sick and tired of praying. Well, we ain't playin'. It's faith that we're displaying. Don't wanna front, put out the blunt. Fire up our faith, Lord Jesus, Our lives have come undone.
We're just saying we need to check it out, yo! So many busters trying to front up on the big show. Stuck in a hole, playin' a role, nowhere to go. Man, that's cold. I don't think so.
We need a Maker who can make our lives well. We need a Savior who can save us from ourselves. We need a Spirit who can hook us up with skills, To live our faith, show and tell, well.
M - Mercy! Unbinding us and setting us free! C - Cross! What's up, death? Where's your sting? M - Mighty is the love of the poor and those outcast. C - Compassion! Like the MC God whose love will last!
M - No longer Master. Now I call you friend! C - Covenant that never, ever, ever ends. M - Manger, where the MC King was born. C - Code he lived that earned him a crown of thorns.
M - Mission of the gospel that is Jesus! C - Conversion of our hearts, no doubt, that frees us! M - Mother Mary and Mary of Magdalene. C - Calling us to "Digo, SÌ" just like they said to him.
MC Hammer. Young MC. Tupac, Dr. Dre. Eminem. Phat Mass. Father Stan Fortuna, Righteous B, Bone, Thugs N Harmony, F.L.O.W., Emcees and DJ's. Rap, Rock, and Hip Hop. Old School, Nu-School and No-School.
I'm just a plain brown rapper with minimal skills and maximum desire to preach the gospel at all times, and if necessary, use rap. MC God was an feeble attempt to restate the simple truth that God is God, and we are not. There is a power greater and "higher" than ourselves, and
that is the Maker, Creator (MC), Messiah, Christ (MC), Manifestation, Confirmation (MC), in other words, "Father, Son, and Holy Spirit." God is the ultimate MC.
The genre of hip hop and rap flows from the street and comes with a simple, straightforward and sometimes stinging statement set to sear, steer and set right was is set wrong.
The song, "MC God," the basic message: God's will, God's hope, God's "purpose" and "plan" for our lives is the foundation from where we live our lives. Living in the firm foundation of the MC God does not free us from pain, strain, and lack of game. Living in the will of the MC God
mostly sets us free from ourselves.
I often find myself stuck, almost paralyzed by the overwhelming feelings I face every day. Fear, resentment, confusion, pride, arrogance... and every other human emotion... stuck in the muck am I. And therein lies
the rub. Getting stuck in "I" or in "me."
MC God reminds me that I need to be stuck on Jesus. Stuck on the new commandment, "As I have loved you; love one another." MC God doesn't say figure out life or be comfortable or seek the approval of others. MC God gives us a new commandment, "Love one another." Serve one another. Forgive one another. Be patient with one another.
Challenge one another.
Mary of Nazareth acknowledges, "I'm the servant of the Lord," and continues in the will of God. Jesus acknowledges his Father's will be done in the garden of
Gethsemane. And so it is our turn to acknowledge and proclaim, "We are the servants of the Lord. Your will be done."
Flowing MC God was and still is a blast. However, I hope that folks will check out the lyrics and accept the challenge to seek God's will in all things. I'll leave
you with my favorite prayer from the 12 Step Program of Alcoholics Anonymous. It's called the "3rd Step Prayer."
"God, I offer myself to thee. To build with me, and do with me as thy wilt. Relieve me from the bondage of self that I may better do thy will. Take away my difficulties
that victory over them may bear witness to those that I would serve of thy love, thy power, and thy way of life. May I do thy will, always."
The last phrase of the chorus, "MC God, Father, Son, Holy Spirit --- I pray we hear it." God's will be done.
