Artist Reflection

It seems to me that life is filled with opportunities to wait. We can plan our days. We can make our lists of things to do, but when are we really supposed to be doing anything? When is the right time? Are we living on God's time?

There was a little contest between the song "Wait For The Moment" and another song for the final track on my latest release. It was simply a matter of which one I was able to finish first. It became quite clear that "Wait For The Moment" was not only the right song, but also the title song for the project. What a wonderful example of waiting for God's moment. Obviously, it was the time to "Wait For The Moment."

God knows the perfect time for each and every thing. He knows the reasons why it is the time or not.

I bought a greeting card in 1983, before they got so expensive. It was a Charlie Brown card that featured the humble and loveable Linus. On the front it read something like... "When I think of all the wonderful things..." and on the inside read... "You take up my whole head." I finally gave that card two weeks ago. It was perfect for the person who’s special day it was. Then was the time. Now maybe I put too much into things, but it made complete sense to me and God used that old greeting card as a teaching moment. His timing reminded me that He cares about everything and He is alive and well in the seemingly insignificant things too. He looks to wow us all the time. His perfect timing wow’s me daily.

The more I seek Him, the more I find Him. The more I wait -- as hard as it can be sometimes -- the better life is. Take a look around today for God's perfect timing. You will be amazed.
