This is one of the most soulful Alleluias we have sung in my church and I have had the privilege of singing this solo as a cantor. I can definitely feel the spirit when I sing this.

The music is simply soul-stirring, and the lyrics can be adapted to any Gospel verse.

If this gets played the way I like to do it, (gospel swing, mm 84-100 for the dotted half) this song will lift the entire congregation. Even the older folks will be swaying to the rythm.
