Alive Again [CD]
A soundtrack for both personal times of prayer and communal Sunday worship
Bring people closer to Christ
"John Eldridge said, 'you can sum up the Bible in two words: come closer.' That's what I hope these songs do... bring people closer to Christ"
Tops his breakout release Empty and Beautiful
Didn't think Matt could top his breakout release Empty and Beautiful? Think again. The widely anticipated Alive Again does just that-encapsulating the trademark charisma and penetrating spirit of his live events.
Speaks to who Matt is as a worship leader, singer and songwriter
According to Matt, the album has a certain "rawness" that speaks to who he is and how he communicates as a worship leader, singer and songwriter. The title track re-creates the moment God reached in and grabbed his heart for the very first time. Refreshing praise and worship songs "No Greater Love," "Sing Over Your Children" and "Christ Has Risen" beam with Matt's signature joyful lyrics. "Garden" puts a compassionate close to a record you'll immediately want to enjoy with another listen.
With a little help from his friends
Every single one of the 12 songs on Alive Again was co-written. SESAC's 2008 Christian songwriter of the year Jason Ingram, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, up-and-coming writer/vocalist Audrey Assad, Mark Byrd and Mia Fields all lent their creative talents to a project Matt describes as a "communal experience."
Soundtrack for both personal prayer and Sunday worship
Produced by Christopher Stevens (Delirious?, tobyMac) and Paul Moak (Matt Kearny, CompassionArt), the album is both immediate and soulful. Matt's addictive organic-pop sound melded with vulnerable and engaging lyrics make Alive Again a soundtrack for believers in both personal times of prayer as well as communal Sunday worship.
