Meet the Authors: Tom Booth
Tom Booth, composer and singer for spiritandsong.com, has been composing songs since 1975. In 1977 he began strumming a guitar in a parish folk band at his parish, and by 1981 was leading a music ministry ensemble on his own. Before his 1984 college graduation, Tom realized he couldn't "construct a sentence to good," and enrolled in two advanced English courses in his final college semesters. He has been writing ever since. For years he wrote the liturgical planning guides for LIFE TEEN, and has written articles for NPM magazine and other publications in the area of music ministry and liturgical spirituality. He constantly has to remind himself, "i before e, except after c" and other similar writing tools. He remembers typewriters, "white out," and pencils.
