Founded in 1978, the Center for Ministry Development is an independent, non-profit organization whose core purpose is to bring the Good News in new ways to the people of God. CMD's mission is to empower faith communities and their leaders for effective ministry with youth, young adults, and families through ministry education, ministry development training, programs and publications.

Ann Marie Eckert
Ann Marie holds a Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry from Christ the King Seminary in Buffalo, NY. Ann Marie is a coordinator for youth ministry services for the Center for Ministry Development, and currently coordinates the YouthLeader program and Effective Practices workshops.
Leif Kehrwald
Leif has worked in family ministry and faith formation on the parish, diocesan, and national levels for over twenty-five years. He has taught courses on family ministry, parish partnership, and family spirituality at Loyola University (Chicago), University of Dayton, and Mount Angel Seminary in Oregon. Leif has written several books and numerous articles on family life, family ministry, marriage, and youth ministry.
Joan Weber
Joan served as co-author of Leadership for Life-Discovering Your Gifts for Christian Leadership, a book for young adults, and is co-editor of Young Adult Works. She was a member of the Implementation Team for Sons and Daughters of the Light, established by the U.S. Bishops Committee on the Laity to implement this pastoral letter. Joan was the Diocesan Coordinator for Young Adult Ministry for the Archdiocese of Omaha, and she served as President of the National Catholic Young Adult Ministry Association (NCYAMA) from 1991 to 1993.
